Hold your head above labels; we’ve all been called names; we’ve all felt the paint they inflict.

The Strange Little People that lived in a shoe
Unrelated to the Old Little Woman you knew
They live in in something more stylish, not far down the road
A high top of sorts is their honest abode
Some would say it is odd, and with them I won’t argue
But they only think this because they never have lived in a shoe
Some things by society are misconstrued
But I urge you to accept that this happens more than it should

The Strange Little People, who live in a shoe
Will dance and sing, out the wazoo
They will play their silly rhythms, again and again, busting them out on all but a a kazoo
Their music is lovely, all the folks say
But even more beautiful are the flowers that grow, larger and larger, with each passing day
The flowers that shoot from the top of the converse, these flowers are wild and come from an island
Or maybe an obscure place up in the highlands
Whatever the case there is no more beautiful a thing
Perhaps, except a dragon in the form of its wings

I tell you all this, so that you will know
In spite of your criticism you will be aglow
In everything that you do, never forget these Strange Little beings
Because when you experience a lack of belief, in the form of undeniable feelings
Step forward and think, about all you know
give up the crazy amounts of wealth, although
Should you ever lack what you need
Step up and give the high topped people a call, keep in mind they are Strange Little Creatures indeed
